More information

Non-teaching employees are paid their annual leave based on their service (20 days/4 weeks/8%, 23 days/4.6 weeks/9.2%, 25 days/5 weeks/10%). See your School Leave report for details of their yearly entitlement.

For term-time only employees, ALTTO is paid as weeks at the higher of average weekly earnings or ordinary weekly earnings unless they fail the full year test and then it is paid as as percentage.

For timesheet only employees, ALTTO is paid as a percentage of their gross earnings from PP19 to PP18.

Term-time only employees pass the full year test if they:
  • start more than 10 working days after your school start date for Term 1, and
  • finish within 10 working days of the school Term 4 end date, and
  • have not taken more than 5 consecutive working days of leave without pay during the school year, and
  • have not been timesheet only more than 10 working days after your school date for Term 1.
If term-time only or timesheet only employees take ALTTO during the year, their ALTTO payment in PP19 is paid based on the remaining number of days of annual leave.

If ALEAT is a negative, this is the annual leave taken since their last anniversary date being reversed as annual leave earned from their last anniversary date is paid as ALVEP.

If an employee is receiving ALTTT then their ALTTP payment is on their gross earnings from PP19 to last day of duty (gross earnings includes ALTTT and any PUBs paid).
