Start of Year 2017

The key functions of the Start of Year process are to:

  • advise the start and end dates for term-time only auto paid employees and fixed-term teachers
  • provide the payroll information for any other employees who have changes from the start of 2017 to allowances, employment status, funding, start date, hours or contract dates
  • provide leave details for the start of 2017.

The Start of Year process has two phases:

  • Preparation - The preparation phase requires you to gather start and end dates, and all other changes to payroll information for 2017, and to start completing required forms.
  • Processing - The processing phase requires you to enter and submit data in the Start of Year screen in Novopay Online, and to complete the required forms.
