End of Year 2023 – everything you need
We collect information toward the end of each year to ensure all employees are paid correctly over the term 4 holidays.
End of Year is four simple questions:
- Is your school's end date for term 4 2023 correct?
- Which employees' jobs are ending (terminating) in term 4 in 2023?
- Which continuing employees will have a last day for 2023 that is different to your school's term 4 end date?
- Have you booked annual leave for your 52-week workers?
You can tell us this in EdPay when the End of Year screen opens on 18 October 2023.
You must have submitted all of the information into EdPay by 5pm, Wednesday, 22 November 2023 at the latest.

Main payday for pay period 19 – lump sum holiday pay is paid for term-time only and timesheet only employees, and returning teachers who failed the full-year test (started after 7 February 2023) |

Second payday for pay period 19 – termination pay is paid for employees whose roles were terminated on or before 12 Dec 2023, and out of cycle payments. |
| 22 December 2023 |
Main payday for pay period 20 – public holidays are paid out for eligible timesheet only employees.
Termination pay is paid for employees whose roles were terminated on or before 26 December 2023 |

Second payday for pay period 20 – out of cycle payments |
