Termination pay recalculations
This update is about the administration support staff in schools and kaiārahi i te reo pay equity claim settlements that were paid in October 2022.
Employees who received these settlements, but whose roles ended (were terminated) before the new rates were applied, will have their termination pay recalculated according to the new rates, and any top-up amounts they are owed will be paid in pay period 5.
These employee’s details will show on the SUE report on Friday, 26 May. The explanation in red won't appear on the SUE report.

The top-up amount (the difference between the original termination pay and the termination pay at the new rate) will be paid into the employee’s bank account on 30 May 2023.
