In this edition of Novopay Newsletter we provide you with an update on processing the increases from the signing of the Secondary Principals' Collective Agreement.
There's information about a change to the NOVO26 form, a reminder about when to provide information to us about bank account changes, a note on an upcoming period when Novopay online will not be available and a reminder that the 2016 ACC levy invoices are going to be generated for payment around August 2016 - September 2016.

Settlement of the Secondary Principals' Collective Agreement
The Secondary Principals' Collective Agreement has recently been signed. Increases will be processed in pay period 07 (pay day 6 July).
As part of the settlement, principals who are members of the Post Primary Teachers' Association (PPTA) or SPANZ will receive arrears back to 2 May 2016.
Schools do not need to do anything for union members, as the salary and allowances increases will be actioned automatically by Novopay.
For people on an Individual Employment Agreement (IEA), schools will need to submit a NOVO22t for principals who have chosen to sign the new IEA. These will be processed from pay period 07, and will include payment from the date the employee signed the IEA.
Please note that IEAs are only effective from the date of signing, and cannot be effective before the date they were promulgated by the Secretary for Education on 13 May 2016.

The changes will be reflected by the 2nd draft SUE.
Bank Accounts / Bank Redirects & Returned Funds
Please note when a bank account is closed Education Payroll Ltd has to wait for the funds to be received back into our accounts before we can redirect the money to the new account. This can take up to 72 hours.
Please ensure bank account changes are advised within the deadline if submitting a change via a form or by the online process.
Important dates to note:
So we can make changes on time we need to receive information on a submitted form or online by 5pm Monday the week before pay day for example if pay day is 22 June, we need the form by 13 June.

FAQ and forms
Can I set up multiple bank account numbers?
Yes. Three bank accounts can be registered.
Use the Personal Details Change Form NOVO3 to change or add a new bank account.
Top Tip: You can also change or add a new bank account online if you prefer.
How do I notify payroll about ceasing my other bank account details?
Use a Personal Details Change Form NOVO3.
What is the bank account format to enter?
Novopay Online uses the standard New Zealand bank account format:
Can we enter international bank accounts or credit cards?
No. We are unable to enter credit card accounts or international bank accounts.
Updated form - NOVO26 Collective Agreement Arrears Request
The NOVO26 form has recently been updated.
The NOVO26 Collective Agreement Arrears Request form was created for employees who are no longer working, or have jobs that ended before a Collective Agreement was ratified. That agreement allows for a back dated pay increase, that covers the period of their employment.
Please note: This form should be filled out and signed by the employee requesting the arrears payment, and it should be sent in by the school the arrears relate to. You will need a separate form for each Collective Agreement.
If a school employee had multiple jobs at multiple schools, separate forms will need to be completed for each school.
If an employee had multiple jobs at one school, then only one form is required as they will be under the same Collective Agreement.
Novopay Online availability
We are updating our Novopay systems on the morning of June 25th, and over the whole weekend of July 9th and 10th. This means Novopay Online will not be available from 6.00 am to 1.00 pm on Saturday, 25th June, and from 6.00 am on Saturday, 9th July to 10.00 pm on Sunday, 10th July.
Please make a note of these times. We will remind you closer to the time.

ACC Levy Invoices
Remember that the 2016 ACC levy invoices are going to be generated for payment around August 2016 - September 2016.
