In this edition of the Novopay Newsletter we provide an update on the settlement of two collective agreements.

We provide advance warning that Novopay Online will be unavailable over these dates: 6 pm Friday 27 May - 6pm Sunday 29 May 2016, for a system upgrade.

Settlement of the variation to the Kaiarahi i te Reo, Therapists', ATSSD and Special Education Assistants' Collective Agreement 2014 - 2016

The variation to the Kaiarahi i te Reo, Therapists', ATSSD and Special Education Assistants Collective Agreement has recently been signed, and the increases will be processed in pay period 05 (pay day 8 June).

As part of the settlement, employees will receive arrears back to 30 March 2016.

Please note, schools do not need to do anything as the increases will be actioned automatically by Novopay for all employees covered by the collective agreement and the IEAs based on the current collective agreement.

The changes will be reflected by the 2nd draft SUE.

Settlement of the Area Schools Teachers' Collective Agreement

The Area Schools Teachers' Collective Agreement has recently been signed, and the increases will be processed in pay period 05 (pay day 8 June).

As part of the settlement, teachers who are members of the Post Primary Teachers Association (PPTA) or NZEI, will receive arrears back to 2 March 2016.

Schools do not need to do anything as the increases will be actioned automatically by Novopay for these union members.

Schools will need to submit a NOVO22t for teachers who have chosen to sign the Individual Employment Agreement (IEA) which was promulgated on 13 May 2016. These will be processed from PP05, and will include payment from the date the IEA was signed by the employee.

Please note that IEAs are only effective from the date of signing and cannot be effective before the date they were promulgated by the Secretary for Education (13 May 2016) ministry-of-education/publications/education-circulars/2016-circulars/circular-201605/

The changes will be reflected by the 2nd draft SUE.

Novopay Online will be unavailable Friday 27 May - Sunday 29 May

Novopay Online will be unavailable as we are performing systems infrastructure upgrade. As we are updating our Novopay systems, you will be unable to access Novopay Online over these dates from 6 pm Friday 27 May - 6pm Sunday 29 May 2016. Please make a note of these dates and times.

EPL Customer Satisfaction Survey and findings

EPL has received the initial findings from the Education Payroll Customer Satisfaction survey. It was completed by 205 authorised users in April 2016.

We are pleased with the response rate and we want to thank all those who participated in the survey. We will be sharing the results with you shortly.

UMR will be contacting more schools this week to complete the next phase of the survey.

We hope that if you are selected you will take the time to complete the survey and provide your feedback.

We are committed to continually improving our support and service to Authorised Users and we intend to use this feedback as part of our overall service improvement plan.
